MELT founder Sue Hitzmann is stepping back in to personally co-teach this round of the Hand & Foot Instructor Training alongside Master Trainer Dr. Sarah Ruback. This is the doorway into the MELT Method, and the foundation every MELT instructor is built on.

The MELT Hand & Foot Instructor Training is an online course presenting the concepts, methodology, tools, and techniques of the MELT Method. Facilitated through MELT University Online, it gives you a premier virtual platform to learn the Hand & Foot curriculum without leaving your living room. The course is designed to be completed within 45 days, and you'll have ongoing access to all course materials.

Online training begins September 8, 2026

What You'll Learn

In this online training, you'll learn the five foundational MELT Hand & Foot treatments using the MELT Hand and Foot Therapy Ball Kit. Rooted in ancient healing traditions and supported by modern fascia science, these neurofascial compression techniques restore fluid flow, recalibrate the nervous system, and reawaken the sensory connection between your hands, feet, and whole body. Simple to learn and powerful to feel, this is the entry point into the MELT Method and where every MELT practice begins.

Each Module Includes:

  • Instructor training led by Sue Hitzmann and Dr. Sarah Ruback
  • The sensory science behind why the hands and feet change the whole body
  • Reading assignments in the Science of Self-Care Manual and Hand & Foot Instructor Workbook
  • Live Zoom training calls to refine your technique with real feedback
  • A live Intro Workshop with your Teaching Assistant to practice teaching
  • A live business call to help you launch and grow your practice

Also Includes:

  • The complete MELT Hand and Foot Therapy Ball Kit, delivered to your door
  • Monthly calls with Sue Hitzmann, ongoing guidance long after you certify
  • 3 free months of MELT On Demand, plus a discounted member rate after, hundreds of classes to keep your own practice strong
  • 6-Month Instructor Membership ($150 value)
  • Lifetime access to your course materials, revisit anytime at your own pace
  • A private discussion group and real community support, whenever you need it
  • Product discounts up to 50% on MELT tools and products
  • Your place on the meltmethod.com Instructor Listing, so clients searching for a MELT instructor can find you by name and location
  • The Instructor Resources Vault, your library of teaching tools and materials

Here's something I've come to believe more deeply with every year I teach: the Hand & Foot work isn't the beginning of MELT you leave behind. It's the foundation everything else stands on.

Your hands and feet are two of the densest sensory maps in the entire body. They're where the nervous system takes in the most information, and where the MELT Method first taught you to listen. Every technique you've learned since, through every level, traces back to what happens here. Coming back to it doesn't move you backward. It sharpens everything you've built on top of it.

This round is also different. I'm teaching it myself, which I rarely do at this level, and I'm bringing in new research and refinements from work I've been developing, including material headed into a new manual. Even instructors who've taken this training before, even at Level 5, will find something here they didn't catch the first time. That's the nature of foundational work: you meet it again as a different practitioner, and it gives you more.

If you're a certified MELT instructor, your retake pricing of $295 is applied automatically at checkout. No code needed.

This round of Hand & Foot is unlike any before it. Sue is stepping in to teach it personally, and she's bringing fresh perspective from research she's been developing since this curriculum was first written, including material headed into a new manual.

Expect deeper context on why the hands and feet hold such a central place in the nervous system, refreshed teaching around the sensory science behind the work, and a few things even seasoned instructors haven't heard before. Full details coming soon.

Targeted pressure on specific points in the hands and feet that mobilizes the joints and wakes up the signaling between your hands, feet, and whole body. This is where stability and control start.

Learn the Five Techniques That Change the Whole Body
01 Position Point Pressing

Targeted pressure on specific points in the hands and feet that mobilizes the joints and wakes up the signaling between your hands, feet, and whole body. This is where stability and control start.

02 Gliding

A slow, exploratory movement that eases in and finds the areas holding stiffness or tension, preparing the tissue and giving you a felt map of what needs attention.

03 Shearing

Focused compression that works below the surface to restore fluid where the tissue is stuck, improving the flexibility and strength of the joints you rely on every day.

04 Rinsing

Moves fluid the way the body naturally wants it to flow, creating a whole-body hydration effect and easing tension all the way up into the neck and low back.

05 Friction

A light, finishing touch that flushes fluid from fascia into the lymphatic system, supporting recovery and circulation. It is how every treatment ends.
